2023 Names To Remember (Part 3)

With the start of the 2022-23 regular season just one week away in the state of Florida, it is time to look at underrated prospects in different classes.
Beginning with the senior class, 2023, this is Part 3 of players that deserve more attention from college programs.
ICYMI:
2023 Names To Remember (Part 1)
2023 Names To Remember (Part 2)
2023 6-2 G Joel Harrison – Oldsmar Christian
A top talent in Tampa Bay for a few years, Joel Harrison has made a name for himself with pure athleticism and overall speed. He’s a nice finisher around the rim and his mid-range jumper is rock solid. For a fast-paced Oldsmar Christian squad, I fully expect him to have a major senior season for the SIAA squad. Harrison currently holds offers from New Mexico State and Stetson and will help any college right now.
2023 5-7 G Calvin “Bobo” Sirmans – Lake Worth
Smaller framed guards have to be tough and Calvin “Bobo” Sirmans oozes toughness and grit. At 5-7, he’s been an absolute gamer for Lake Worth these past few seasons. Last year, Sirmans led his side with 17.1 PPG, 5.4 APG, 3.0 RPG and 2.8 SPG for a 21-4 Trojans group that lost in the Class 7A state semifinal to Columbus. He holds an offer from Albany State as of now. Sirmans is going to make a college program look pretty smart if they bring him in.
2023 6-4 G Dawson Barr – Hagerty
Transferring over to Hagerty from Oviedo for his senior campaign, Dawson Barr brings pure scoring and all-around play to his new stomping grounds. He averaged 17.2 PPG and had only five games under double digits with 12 games with 20 or more points. Barr shined as a sophomore as well regularly scoring in bunches. That’s what he does and he plays hard-nosed defense. He’s the ideal work-hard/team player college prospect.
2023 6-3 G Woody Machado – Alonso
Back and healthy, Woody Machado has been steady all fall and has the looks of a breakout senior performer in the Tampa Bay area this season. Alonso handed over the backcourt to him with Trent Scott now a freshman at Morehead State. Machado has very good handles, shiftiness and driving ability to the rack often. He will make everyone around him better and colleges need to track his progress.
2023 6-5 G Joshua Middlebrooks – Miami
In his first season with Miami after coming over from Southridge, Joshua Middlebrooks really shined. He averaged 14.9 PPG and has true length and burst to his game. The way Middlebrooks finishes at the cup is fun to watch and he gets the free throw stride frequently. He holds an offer from Stetson currently. Look for him to have an even better senior season and earn college attention in the process.
