In this episode of Cut Different, Jake Perper of the Hoop Vibe sits down with Tai Bell, a rising Class of 2028 guard from Mater Lakes Academy in Hialeah, Florida — and the son of former NBA standout Raja Bell. Bell is ranked No. 24th overall in the country by ESPN and No. 2 in Florida by the Hoop Vibe.
Bell opens up about life growing up in an NBA family, including meeting stars like LeBron James and Kyrie Irving as a kid. He also talks about the impact of his brother’s journey as a highly recruited quarterback now at the University of Texas. He shares his own goals — especially his drive to bring home a state championship.
Off the court, Bell dives into his love for music, movies, and even reveals which teammate he’d trust if he were stuck on a desert island.
