Standouts: TBBCA All-Star Game

TAMPA, FLORIDA – The annual Tampa Bay Basketball Coaches Association (TBBCA) All-Star Game took place on Thursday night at Tampa Prep.
The West side held on for the 96-90 victory over the East and there were a lot of bright moments.
Here is a look at the top performances on the evening from the 2023 all-star senior class.
West All-Star Team Standouts
6-3 G Eddrin Bronson – Tampa Catholic
Headed to Furman in the fall, Eddrin Bronson walked away with the MVP award for the West side as he netted 22 points. He scored 16 of his points in the second half alone when his group needed points to put the game on ice. Bronson’s ability to shoot and trick defenders with his shiftiness and ball fakes continue to be at the forefront of his all-around game.
6-1 G George Kimble – Berkeley Prep
A highly talented point man, George Kimble totaled 15 points in the game, simply having fun. He was cooking as a lead passer which included a no-look one-handed drop off pass in the second half in the paint to a teammate. Kimble is a high IQ guard who can score and get everyone involved around him. He should land at a very good college program soon.
6-2 G John Ziegler – King
The mid-range was working for John Ziegler all game long. The King guard finished with 14 points and certainly made the defense pay with his rock solid mid-range jumper. Ziegler has the skill to work the ball around and push the tempo. He simply finds ways to score which should place him at the next level with a good program.
East All-Star Team Standouts
6-7 F Jonathan Moore – Newsome
It was quite the night for West All-Star MVP Jonathan Moore. With 22 points, the Newsome big man got to the rack time and time again. He put up 13 points in the second half, as he was finishing with athletic dunks and lay-ins to keep the West in the game. Moore is a talented athlete who will play at Division II Colorado School of Mines in the fall.
6-0 G Josiah Harding – Sumner
Josiah Harding had a very strong opening half with 10 of his 14 points. The Sumner guard is bouncy as can be. He showed that off with a dunk contest win as he threw down a one-handed punch where he simply was floating in the air. Harding has a smooth jumper and very good ball skills. Any college program who needs an athletic guard should come looking at Harding.
6-3 G Ishaan Bhadouria – Carrollwood Day
Headed to Division III Washington and Lee in Virginia this fall, Ishaan Bhadouria continues to develop. He has made massive strides as a ballhandler and finisher over the last year. With 14 points in the game, Bhadouria did the bulk of his damage in the first half and was hitting some good looking mid-range shots. As he gets stronger, he will be a true value at the collegiate level.
6-4 G Jordan Lewis – Strawberry Crest
Jordan Lewis is lengthy and quick. His outside shot is a quick one. With 12 points, Lewis did the bulk of his damage from long range as he totaled three 3-pointers in the game. Lewis finds openings and is able to get up and down the floor in the blink of an eye. He’s an unsigned senior that should be playing somewhere this fall.
3-Point Champion & Dunk Contest Champion
Damian Jones won the 3-point contest while 6-3 guard/forward Elijah Dawson finished as the runner-up showcasing the Plant City talent.
Jones, a 5-10 guard held off Newsome’s Aiden Carver in the final round to capture the 3-point contest victory.
Dawson lost to Harding but had the dunk of the night in the opening round. Watch below.
