Standouts: The Warm Up (Part 3)

2026 North Point Youth guard Somourian Wingo at The Warm Up (Powered by The Hoop Vibe) – July 1, 2023 – Bradenton, Florida

BRADENTON, FLORIDA – Year One of The Warm Up saw a lot of talent in the gym on Saturday at Bradenton Christian as teams got ready for the first July live period session this week.

Here is a look at Part Three of the top standouts from the event.

2026 6-2 G Somourian Wingo – North Point Youth

In the final game of the night, North Point Youth battled in a loss to G1 Sports. Somourian Wingo who was flat out good in the outing with 25 points. He attacked the rim, found good spots inside and made his drives count. Wingo is a 2026 6-foot-2 guard is a true athlete who suits up for St. Augustine and will be a major factor.

—2026 6-foot-2 guard Kareem Preston had the dunk of the day in a loss to G1 Sports. It was a superb move and then a freakish dunk as the parents and athletes went crazy in the stands (VIDEO).

2025 6-2 G AJ Jones – SCE UA 2025

2026 SCE UA guard AJ Jones at The Warm Up (Powered by The Hoop Vibe) – July 1, 2023 – Bradenton, Florida

AJ Jones had a rock solid outing in a win over Harris Athletics. The 2025 6-foot-2 SCE UA guard was dishing out up court feeds, knocking down treys and playing hard on both ends of the floor. He’s a very sound athlete who is comfortable navigating double teams and finding open players. The Tampa Prep guard has a smooth jumper.

2026 6-6 F DJ Jones – XPC Elite

2026 XPC Elite forward DJ Jones at The Warm Up (Powered by The Hoop Vibe) – July 1, 2023 – Bradenton, Florida

The 275-pound forward DJ Jones should have NFL teams salivating when it’s all said and done. He is certainly no slouch on the hardwood. The 2026 6-foot-7 forward played up two age groups, the rising sophomore was still the most physical presence in the game. He recorded six offensive rebounds and complimented the effort with a faceup game and mid-outside shots on offense with 15 points.

2025 6-1 G Trey George – Team Knight

2025 Team Knight guard Trey George at The Warm Up (Powered by The Hoop Vibe) – July 1, 2023 – Bradenton, Florida

Trey George was in full control of the offense for Team Knight 16U’s group. He has the ball on a string and certainly knows how to dish it out with the best of them. At 6-foot-1, the 2025 Blanche Ely guard is someone who gets the job done and knows how to get to the rim and find open looks for his teammates.

—2024 6-foot-6 forward Dominic Issa was active from the start for Team Knight 17U and had himself some hard nosed rebounding games. Issa is a long body that is packed with a lot of energy and smart heads up play.

2025 6-1 G Jordan Mickens Heart and Hustle

2025 Heart and Hustle guard Jordan Mickens at The Warm Up (Powered by The Hoop Vibe) – July 1, 2023 – Bradenton, Florida

Jordan Mickens continues to put together strong games wherever he plays. The 2025 6-foot-1 Robinson guard made smart takes to the rim, pushed the tempo and drew contact to take a plethora of trips to the free throw line for Heart and Hustle. Despite losing both games, Mickens never was phased and battled throughout.

2026 6-3 G Donovan Gaines – Team Gritty

2026 Team Gritty guard Donovan Gaines at The Warm Up (Powered by The Hoop Vibe) – July 1, 2023 – Bradenton, Florida

For Team Gritty, Donovan Gaines balled out in a loss to XPC Elite. The 2026 6-foot-3 guard made some key buckets, sparking his side and connecting especially on floaters and mid-range looks. Gaines suits up for Wiregrass Ranch and looks like an active and versatile player.

—2026 5-foot-8 guard Kai Brookins had a nice day as a driver, floor pusher and spacer. The speedster is a very gifted athlete who is a good shooter and bucket getter.

2024 6-3 G/F Keishaun Robinson – Loyalty United

For Loyalty United, Keishaun Robinson dug deep in both games, both wins. He was a workhorse on the boards, a steady finisher and a grinder down low. The 2024 6-foot-3 guard is a winner and someone who simply makes your team better.

2025 6-0 G Carter Padags – Cougars Elite

In a comeback overtime win over Born To Impact Elite Gold, Carter Padags went off with nifty takes at the cup and some tough jumpers. The 2025 5-foot-10 guard produced a 28-point outing (11 points in the first half) for Cougars Elite, a team consisting of varsity players from Countryside. Padags is a true leader.

—2025 6-0 G Corey Perlin poured on 18 of his 22 points in the second half for Cougars Elite. He is an active shooter and driver who can get going in bunches and brings a lot of versatility to his team.
