Stock Risers: Post Live Period Session II

2024 6-2 Austin Rivers SE Elite G Cam Miles at the 3SSB Adidas Finals in Rock Hill, South Carolina – July 6, 2023

The shoe circuits are officially done for the summer and with that, only a few more weekends of AAU basketball remain before we turn our attention to fall ball and the upcoming high school campaign.

Here is a look at some of the biggest stock risers from these past few weeks.

2024 6-2 G Cam Miles – Austin Rivers SE Elite

There might not be a bigger blowup candidate than Cam Miles right now. The 2024 6-foot-2 Austin Rivers SE Elite guard earned all 13 of his offers listed below this summer which included 12 just in the last few weeks. Miles is beyond bursty, can finish with both hands, runs the floor with ease and makes his teammates betters with crafty passes. He has a rock solid jumper as well when needed. Miles is going to have a huge senior campaign at Olympia as the lead point man and will only continue to take his game further.

Offers: James Madison, UMass, North Carolina A&T, Arkansas State, Samford, Southern Illinois, FIU, Texas Arlington, Illinois Chicago, Drake, Louisiana Tech, Morehead State, Murray State

2024 6-9 F Asa Newell – 1Family Hoops

The name Asa Newell has been a household one in the state of Florida and nationally since his sophomore season at Choctaw. Since he went to Montverde, his stock has only risen and for good reason. The 2024 6-foot-9 forward was causing havoc around the rim all summer for 1Family Hoops, who captured the 17U title at the PRO 16 Circuit Finals. Newell holds 22 offers with the first four listed as his most recent. He will have his pick of the litter when it comes to college scholarships with his length, athleticism and overall burst. Newell is a clear-cut high major talent.

Offers: Rutgers, Gonzaga, UCF, Michigan, Auburn, Indiana, Kansas, Texas, LSU, Seton Hall, FSU, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Georgia, Alabama, Wake Forest, Arkansas, UF, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State

2025 6-6 G Joshua Lewis – Florida Rebels

Over the last year’s stretch, Joshua Lewis has had many good games. He’s really come into his own this summer with the Florida Rebels 16U squad. The 2025 6-foot-6 guard is both long and athletic and threw down some vicious dunks at Peach Jam and this past weekend at the Las Vegas Big Time event. Lewis has a college ready skillset with the combination of his handle, jumper, drive and ability to guard all five positions on the floor. Lewis earned the first two offers listed here this summer. He will only take his game to the next level this fall at Blake.

Offers: Cincinnati, Ole Miss, USF

2024 6-1 G Erik Taylor – Judah Nation

It was just a matter of time before college programs figured out how good Erik Taylor was. The 2024 6-foot-1 Judah Nation guard is lighting quick, gifted with the ball in his hands and a force when going downhill. Most impressively, Taylor has a steady mid-range jumper that can hurt defenses. Playing on the PRO 16 Circuit this summer, he opened a lot of eyes throughout July and reaped the benefits. Taylor will wrap up his high school career at The Rock where he will run the backcourt.

Offers: UTSA, Denver, UNC Wilmington, Appalachian State

2025 6-8 G/F Myles Mayfield – 1Family Hoops

You could see glimpses of breakout potential with Myles Mayfield last season as a sophomore. This summer, the 2025 6-foot-8 forward has carved out a name for himself with 1Family Hoops on the PRO 16 Circuit. He’s athletic, bursty, lengthy and hard to slow down defensively. Mayfield flourishes around the rim, has improved his handle and is always playing with good pace and energy. College coaches need to keep a close eye on this rising junior at Edgewater.

Offers: UT Chattanooga and Portland

2025 6-7 F Ace Flagg – Maine United

Living under the shadow of his older brother and top ranked 2025 prospect Cooper Flagg, Ace Flagg is quite the scorer as well. The 2025 6-foot-7 Maine United shooter, connected on 58 percent of his field goal attempts at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam. A fluid attacker as well, Ace Flagg has improved his game and has the length and versatility to make stops defensively and score in bunches. He will make an impact at Montverde as a junior.

Offers: FGCU and George Washington

2025 6-9 F Maodo Malick – Austin Rivers SE Elite

One of the best bigs I’ve seen as of late is Maodo Malick. The 2025 6-foot-9 forward was very good for Austin Rivers SE Elite during the Adidas 3SSB Finals during the first live period. Malick was a physical presence on the boards, rose up for dunks offensively and served as a vocal piece for his side. There is a lot to be said about his energy and length. Malick should flourish at The Academy of Central Florida.
