Here are the top standouts from the day:

2024 6-6 G Ace Taylor – Calvary Christian

Ace Taylor followed up on his 19-point performance in Week 1 with a 23-point outing in a win over Clearwater. He continues to mature with his interior post moves and his ability to get up and down the floor in transition. Taylor has very good chemistry with the rest of the team, especially the guards, 2024 6-0 Daniel MacGregor (24 points) and 2023 6-0 Dominic Sarigumba (16 points). This team is going to be hard to beat, especially in Pinellas County.

2025 6-0 G Trey Fogle – Gateway Charter

The most impressive outside touch came the way of Trey Fogle. The sophomore dropped 19 points for Gateway Charter which included five 3’s in the opening half of play against Southeast. Fogle is a quick twitch shooter and he can hurt defenses in the blink of an eye.

2023 6-4 G Jahmari Johnson shined for the second consecutive week with a team-best 24 points. He made every point matter with consistent astute takes and just pure smart basketball.

2025 6-1 G Tate Darner – Santa Fe Catholic

Santa Fe Catholic is a very in-sync group. This week, it was Tate Darner who shined the brightest on the floor with 16 points. A vocal leader, he was constantly keeping his team informed with switches and calls on both ends of the floor. His deep ball is reliable and has steady form. The sky is the limit for Darner.

—2023 6-3 G Aiden Jones (19 points) was active from the jump, getting to the rim and finishing at the glass and on his mid-range jumpers. 2023 6-2 G Ezequiel Munoz (14 points) used his 3-point shoot once again to produce.

2023 6-1 G Aaron Barton – Southeast

For the second straight week, Aaron Barton did his thing for Southeast in a close tilt against Gateway Charter. He dropped 19 points in this matchup and really uses his body control well against bigger defenders, creating space and finishing at the glass. Barton is going to be tasked to be a true leader for this group.

—2023 6-1 G Brent Prater was a rock solid complimentary piece as he contributed 11 points in a close game with some inside slashing. 2024 6-2 G Tahj Davis (14 points) was crucial in the second half with nine important points as he hit some key shots.

2023 6-7 F Jace Maples – East Lake

Jace Maples has settled in nicely at East Lake after transferring in from Palm Harbor. A strong interior rebounder on both ends of the floor, he tacked on 18 points and an approximated 14 rebounds against Largo. He fits the bill alongside a senior-heavy squad.

—2023 5-11 G Justin Kruszewski (18 points) continues to put together strong scoring outings with his ballhandling ability and impressive jump shot. 2023 5-11 G Albert Lacy (14 points) makes plays at the point of attack.

2023 6-3 G/F Nick Pouilot – Countryside

A transfer from Pinellas Park, Nick Pouilot was a steady scorer in both of Countryside’s wins with 10 and 17 points respectively (average of 13.5 PPG). He shot the ball well and found openings for himself and on feeds from his teammates. Pouilot fits what Countryside is implementing this year.

—2023 6-3 G/F Kobie White averaged 12 points in the two matchups with a high game of 17 points as he used his steady jumper to get it going. 2023 5-10 G Jason Skinner averaged 11.5 points in the two games, getting to the rim often.

2023 5-11 G Adrian Moss – Largo

For Largo, Adrian Moss led the way with 13 points. Strong and fast, Moss goes downhill with purpose, and he has been very solid in both weeks of the league. He is a reliable slasher and mature leader for this team.

2024 6-0 G Jaden Baker – Bradenton Christian

Back from an ankle injury that kept him out last week, Jaden Baker added 12 points as he went to the rim time and time again. He is a gifted athlete and a confident scorer.

Honorable mentions:

2026 6-5 F Jordan Bryant – Calvary Christian (15 points)

Bryant broke out this week after some moments in Week 1 with 15 points and a slew of strong attacks at the rim with his nice length and speed.

2025 6-2 G Talon Brooks – Admiral Farragut (15 points)

Brooks turned it up in the second half with 13 of his team-high 15 points against Countryside and took some crafty takes at the rim.

2025 6-0 G Mathis Roberts – Gibbs (10 points)

Roberts was a true brute for Gibbs as he recorded seven of his team-high 10 points in the second half when it mattered most.

2024 6-1 G Landon Dempsey – Bradenton Christian (10 points)

Dempsey did his thing for Bradenton Christian as he hit a few jumpers to bring value to his team’s side.

2024 6-3 G Jayce Ortiz – Clearwater (7 points)

Transferring back to Clearwater from Lakeside Christian, Ortiz was a bright spot for Clearwater with some nice jump shots.
