AAU season is in full swing and now is a good time to wrap up the current junior class in the grad year of 2025.

This is the debut of The Hoop Vibe rankings with the 2026 and 2027 classes to follow over the next two weeks.

150 players are ranked around the state of Florida in the 2025 class.

Here is a look at the Top 5 list with analysis below.

No. 1: 6-9 F Cameron Boozer – Columbus

All the tools in the bag of Cameron Boozer are evident every time you watch him hoop. The 6-foot-9 Columbus forward has helped his high school squad win three consecutive state titles and he made clutch plays along the way. Boozer is a forward who can shoot it with ease, dunk through traffic and handle the rock like a guard. His ceiling is high and he’s an absolute no brainer high major prospect who will thrive wherever he lands.

No. 2: 6-2 G Darius Acuff – IMG

Darius Acuff is a strong and playmaking guard who can push the tempo and weave through traffic. The 6-foot-2 IMG guard excelled at a high level this season for a team filled with athletes. Acuff is a downhill pusher and a player who can flat-out fly in open space. He can finish with either hand and is a natural finisher inside. Look for him to excel at a high level on the circuit this summer.

No. 3: 6-5 G Jamier Jones – Oak Ridge

The strides Jamier Jones has made over the last year’s stretch as a jump shooter have been impressive. The 6-foot-5 Oak Ridge guard shot at a high clip during the team’s state run and near overtime win over Columbus in Class 7A. Jones is one of the most gifted athletes in the country and his all-around game has expanded. He is going to be a top scorer and bucket-getter for the Florida Rebels on the Nike EYBL Circuit.

No. 4: 6-7 G Shon Abaev – Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian

There’s something to be said about lengthy and rangy guards. Shon Abaev fits the bill and has become one of the best complete scorers in Florida. The 6-foot-7 Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian is a gifted shooter and a smooth finisher. Abaev can make plays inside and out and sets the tone for his entire team. He is going to do major things for SOH Elite on the UA Circuit as the No. 1 option.

No. 5: 7-1 C Moustapha Thiam – DME

Moustapha Thiam has developed as a bonafide and gifted center. A true shot blocker at 7-foot-1, the UCF commit is a threat on both ends of the floor around the rim. At DME, he makes life tough for opposing teams, handling the bulk of traffic coming his way inside. Thiam has a nice little floater and his mid-range jumper has improved as well. I like his chances to thrive this summer on the Adidas Circuit with Austin Rivers SE Elite.
